Our vision is to reach young men (16-24) through community based
and sea born adventure of self-discovery.

MISSION
Our mission is to teach young men the value of teamwork, the application of spiritual and social principles, and to open a path for
them to explore and develop their natural talents.

PROGRAM

1. Two week Call to Adventure sailing expedition. Sailing away from port leaves behind the known and moves into an unknown realm. This step into the life of schooner living challenges and hones participants seaman skills, team work, self confidence and the ability to persevere in the face of adversity.
   
   
2. Three month community and sea based provides an in depth exploration of the young mans sense of self connection with others. Working with participants and parents an intake psychological ad family system evaluation will be provided.
   Also included:

• Individual counseling sessions with a licensed mental health counselor
• Weekly group meetings
• Day long weekend sailing training activities
• Multi day training sailing expedition
• Week long final sailing expedition for immersion in schooner life

Through action orientated experiences in our community and the sea, these young men develop the skill of focusing their personal intent through a common, united group vision.

CALL TO ADVENTURE STAFF

Capt Robert Nichols USCG 100 ton open ocean master is the son of a sailor with experience in oceans around the world. He and his wife Ellen Nichols founded New Horizons of SW Florida. He is the Executive Director.

Randy Crawford, LMHC has a private counseling practice in Naples, FL working with adolescents and families. He has developed many experientially based programs for adolescents throughout the United States and worked with Outward Bound for 17 years.
